Be the best version of yourself in our safe and productive environment for a month.
The transient nature of the nomad lifestyle makes it very easy to meet lots of people, but pretty hard to make deeper lasting connections. But spending a month in our magic bubble, getting to know people, sharing experiences and working close to each other builds relationships that can last a lifetime. You will find friends, travel buddies, business partners and maybe even a soulmate.
Experience the best mountain resort in the Balkans with your new friends.
October is the best time for mountain activities like biking, rock climbing and hiking. The hot thermal springs and many spas in the area are great to get pampered afterwards. Regular yoga, mindfulness and meditation sessions balance physical and emotional wellness.
Kristin from Travelling with Kristin made a cool video about Bansko to answer that question. When we ask our members how they ended up in this small rural village in Bulgaria they often mention:
We will have frequent events and activities. Some are part of the normal Coworking Bansko routine, others will be tailored specifically for the Women on the Mountain. But no worries, even though it is a busy schedule on evenings and the weekend we will keep most of the day open so that you can be productive.
On October 31 we will cap off the month long experience with a proper Female Entrepreneurship Conference Day:
Bansko is a small town with only 10,000 inhabitants. Covid is not much of an issue here and Bulgaria is lifting travel restrictions frequently.
We have some amazing women that will help us to provide you with the best possible experience.
Everyone will do a quick (2-3min) presentation to show what they are working on and passionate about. The idea is to get to know each other to be able assist or collaborate in the future.
We have many different games to play from casual to cooperative suitable for all experience levels. Gaming is a great way to learn something about people. Are they very competitive? Do they sacrifice themselves for the greater good? Are they backstabbers or frontstabber? Can they lie? Plenty of fun.
Depending on who is at the coworking space at the moment we encourage members to do a presentation to share their knowlegde. Topics in the past ranged from selling on Amazon through writing better software to investing in crypto - with all topics in between. During Women on the Mountain we will give preference to female speakers.
Simple as it sounds, we watch a TEDTalk and discuss it. All the talks are curated by TED for every months. There are 1500 other groups discussing the same TED talks all around the world. Join the global conversation in Bansko!
We explore the best restaurants in Bansko together. Great conversations and tasty food are always a winner
One highlight of the coworking week is always to go to the hot springs together and have dinner afterwards. It's even better when it rains or snows.
Everyone brings something tasty and we will have an amazing feast.
Let's watch a movie together at the end of the week. We often prefer artsy or non-mainstream movies. Members suggest the movie and everyone brings popcorn.
We get togethers Monday mornings to set goals for the week and see how can we help each other achieving them.
October starts with a full moon on the 1st of October and finishes with Full Moon on the 31st. The full moon brings light and invites us to reflect, look at what’s done, to let go and make space for what’s coming. Together we’ll create a beautiful opening and closing full moon ceremony for the months. Bring your own rituals!
For the month, we hold a weekly sisterhood circle, that’s a safe and open space for conversations. What we discuss, depends on what you bring in: women in tech, pay gap, traveling solo, staying healthy on the road, period positive work cultures and period poverty, women in politics, women in science, whatever is your interest, it’s welcome to the circle. We work with what emerges.
Bring a business problem and we connect you to the people who are around and can help you. Leverage that you can pick the brain of black belt remote workers and travelers and pay in coffee.
During this workshop Minne will take you through some activities that will be a mix and introduction of embodiment and mindfulness practices, sacred female sexuality knowledge, cacao rituals, Tantra philosophy, and support in emotional health and vulnerability. Also, sharing women circles, tension release exercises and maybe even some ecstatic dance will be up for this day! Minne will create a safe space to explore those topics, where you can always choose how and if you participate. The program isn't set in stone. Minne has plenty of experience, to listen at your requests and pick the practices that we as a group want to explore most.
Explore one of the premiere Bulgarian wine regions with us. The unique architecture of Melnik and the nearby Rozhen Monastery (located 6 km northeast of Melnik) make it a popular tourist destination. In addition, the town has been famous for producing strong wine since at least 1346. The local wine from the varietal Broad Leave Melnik Vine was reportedly a favourite of Winston Churchill's. Lately, the area of Melnik is enjoying a revival of vine growing and wine making. Several new, modern wineries have been built and operate (Villa Melnik Winery, Sintica Winery, Orbelus, etc.), producing high quality wine from local and international varieties.
We will not only taste some of the best wines, but we will also visit Rupite and the Baba Vanga museum on the way back. Baba Vanga, was a blind Bulgarian mystic, clairvoyant, and herbalist, who spent most of her life in the Rupite area in the Kozhuh mountains in Bulgaria.
The start of the moon cycle, when the outside world is dark it’s time to introspect. On the weekend of the 16th, we go out to nature for a digital detox. We dedicate the weekend to set intentions and make plans in facilitated conversations and navigated journaling.
On the edge of our village is Vihren mountain, the highest peak of Bulgaria's Pirin Mountains reaching 2,914 metres. There are several easy, intermediate and advanced hiking trails and we will have a great time enjoying them together.
There are lots of really great bike trails around Bansko. If you want to go on the downhill and technical trails then we will have female guides leading us. But some days we will also just cycle across the fields to the golf course, to the nearby hot springs or to the next village.
There are a lot of thermal springs in the region. Velingrad is often called the spa capital of Bulgaria and we will spend a day there to get pampered. “VICTORIA SPA & BALNEO” is the largest spa complex in Velingrad with many different types of saunas and several indoor & outdoor pools. The abundance of facilities and spa services, Asian massages and balneological procedures, combining the magical properties of mineral water will make you forget about the busy everyday life and make it beneficial and unforgettable.
We will organize a entrepreneurship conference with external participants and speakers on the big stage as the highlight of the month. This is your opportunity to shine
Detailed speakers and topics will be decided at the beginning of October.
